Again

I wrote another poem
About feelings I shouldn't have
Emotions that only hurt
Because I know they will never be reciprocated
By the one I write about
But my heart doesn't know the meaning of giving up
My brain to dumb to force me to move on
No matter how hard I try to bring
My emotions and feelings to a screeching halt
No matter how hard I try to slow down
My beating heart
A simple thing such a picture
Breathes life into a love
A love that I truly wish
Would perish
